Two posts in one day…sorry! I’m doing this separate from Resolutions because this will be a supplement to them.
If you’re not familiar with The Perfect 10, it’s a challenge that South Beach Steve is hosting to help everyone accomplish their goals. You still have until January 7th to join, I believe…so join us! You set a list of goals and make a post each week talking about your progress. At least, I think I understand it 🙂
Here are my goals for “The Perfect 10” Challenge:
-Walk/Jog 100 miles (by the end of the challenge)
-Do strength training/toning exercises three times a week (via DVD’s and the Wii Biggest Loser game)
-Complete 3 sections of my big writing project
-Lose ten pounds
-Set at least one goal for the day, no matter how small, and reach it, everyday.
-Drink at least 80 ounces of water each day
If I understand correctly, every week I will have to do a post updating my progress towards these goals. I’m excited! Ten pounds should be reasonable, a pound a week, but that’s gonna be questionable because no matter how LUCKY I’ve been in the last two weigh-ins (and make no mistake about it…it was ALL LUCK!), I know I have some holiday damage headed my way I’m gonna have to undo–STAT!

Nice.
I like that you quantified how far you wanted to walk/run instead of just how often. I’ll have to keep that in mind for setting goals in the future.

You understood it right Craig, although you also have to post something most bloggers will not know about you along with the updates. I’ll give some suggestions on that as we near the first update.
Great list of goals by the way, and the resolutions were good too! Make it a Perfect 10!

Thanks Paul. I’ve noticed I seem to do better if I have a certain number of miles to do…like I stay on top of exercising better!

I am just now getting around to reading this post because I am the worst blog follower ever. I love your goals. THEY ARE SO AWESOME!!! 🙂 Loved the Lady Gaga one. Hilarity! 🙂 Also, I would be so interested in what books you read last year. 40 is super impressive, I probably read 1/2 that or better….I love to read. I am a super nerd though. I need some new book suggestions for my Kindle.

Aww Jessie just the fact you read it makes my day! I am still working on the lady gaga one, but no progress yet 🙂
I’m on my third book of 2010 so far. I love to read too…I think I spend too much time reading and not enough time on my other hobbies tho 🙂
UNDER THE DOME is my big reading project for 2010….the other ones pale in comparison to that big boy!
