Total Loss: 29.5 pounds in 20 weeks
Any loss is a good loss, blah blah blah. I have to be honest and say I’m a little bit disappointed after seeing lots of my blog friends lose around four pounds each this week. I think it got my hopes up a little bit. That combined with the fact it was my first week back on track “hardcore style” but the scale only gave me 0.6. So I’m still working off that 1.8 I gained over a two week period. No biggie, it will come off, but I’m sure you all can sympathize with the ole “scale disappointment” feeling 🙂
As far as how I did this week–I counted calories 5 out of 7 days. Sunday was heaven sent…a day in Memphis shopping and eating with no calorie counting in mind and it was one of the best days I’ve had in forever…and that night was great too…so if anything is to blame for this week’s results it’s that! Lots of indulging on fun stuff which I needed for my mental health! Monday was a holiday (bonus day off, yesss!) I didn’t count, but I also know I was within limits as I was counting mentally. Water was really great this week. I exercised 4 out of 7 days which is good, but not great. On the days I counted calories I averaged around 1750. Of course, even though I do count calories, a lot of the times the final number is an estimate because when I cook my supper at night I often have to estimate as best as possible.
I plan on posting my Perfect 10 later on, but I’ve done good with it this week, too. I guess that’s all I got…here’s hoping for a better number next week! Hope everyone is doing well.

Keep in mind that some of your blog friends also have a good 20-30 (and then some) pounds on you, so they have more to lose and it will come off easier from time to time.
You’re sticking rocking it though, and its good to see that you’re back on track. WooT!
Congrats on the loss 🙂

Weeks like that can be a little frustrating. I have a lot more weight than you to lose, but my pattern lately, particularly with exercise, seems to be dropping 3 or 4 pounds one week, followed by a fairly neutral week the next. Keep on keeping on!

I totally get your disappointment, that’s how I felt 2 weigh ins ago. I’m sure it will catch up with you next week. I hope! 🙂 You’ve come a long way, don’t let a silly number get ya down. (I know, easy for me to say, right?!)
But it IS a loss! So it’s going in the right direction.

Like Steve said, I’ve got AT LEAST 20-30 pounds on you (more like 60-70). I completely expect it to get much more difficult once I’ve lost a bit more. As long as those numbers keep going down, I’d be happy!
Keep up the great work!

Thanks all. The numbers definitely slow down the more you lose. Honestly I don’t care about the numbers as much as inches. I’ve noticed a difference in my clothes but not a huge one. Yet. Still working on it and no chance in me giving up or anything. I Just like to bitch on here every week! 🙂

That’s great (even if you are disappointed)! Any lose is a good loss for me… I need to work on mine before KY.

No one stone me to death for this.. but I think you need to lower your calorie intake a little.
I’m thinking if you aim for 1500 a day, you would have better results.
And really that’s not hard at all. It all depends on what you eat. There are plenty of low calorie foods out there in order for you to do this.
Good luck though, I’ll be watching. 🙂

I usually get around 1600–1700. The sites/calculators I’ve used tell me to eat 1900 to lose based on my activity level, but that seems just a tad high so I try to go a little lower. The reason I do this is because I usually have to estimate my dinners, so I’m afraid to get too close to 1900, thus making my deficit lower! I’ve done well on that program. And when I cut back way low, I wasn’t losing any better than I am now. I might try it, though, for a few weeks just to experiment!
The reason I’ve been lagging these few weeks isn’t because of a few hundred calories…I had fallen off the wagon around New Year’s and have had some stumbles getting back on let’s just say! Mainly the weekends 😛

Yeah the weekends are killers. Peer pressure is an all time high around this period. Lol.. 🙂
